Here is a quick guide to live music in Columbia this week:

  • Rosario Andino at Missouri Theatre 7 PM, $12-19: Often described as that rare package of a “pianist’s pianist” who’s also a crowd pleaser. Her expertise is undisputed, her repertoire formidable.
  • DRI, Painted in Blood at The Blue Note 8 PM, $15: hardcore punk/thrash metal, hard rock
  • Rose’s Pawn Shop, The Havana Honeys at Mojo’s 8:30 PM, $8: Appalachian/Americana, modern folk

  • “We Always Swing” Jazz Series presents Snarky Puppy at The Blue Note 8 PM, $20-35: Self-described as “A collective of musicians in Dallas and New York City playing an infectious mixture of jazz, funk, and world music,” Snarky Puppy wants to make “music to move the brain and booty.”

  • Elizabeth Lyons at Whiskey Wild Saloon 8 PM: country/pop
  • St. Lucia, Rose Quartz, The Electric Sons at The Blue Note 9 PM, $5: pop, sultry synth, indie/electric pop
  • Pepperland at Mojo’s 9:30 PM, $6-8: “Pepperland’s purpose is to be your good gurus guide through the surreal songbook of John, Paul, George and Ringo. By performing Beatles and solo years with an off beat, updated twist, Pepperland looks to tune in and turn on the post sixties generations who didn’t hear the initial gong, but still feel the vibration.”
