Yellow Dog Bookshop is a locally owned, used book store in downtown Columbia named for the owners’ own dog. They specialize in literary fiction, history, religion, and cultural studies.

Open since 1977, Columbia Books has a huge selection (35,000 volumes) ranging from new releases to books as old as 400 years! They also have a collection of art to choose from including Victorian Flower Prints and Missouri Gazzetter Prints.
Rock Bottom Comics

Rock Bottom Comics opened in 1973 and is Missouri’s 2nd oldest comic shop. Stop in for new comics, back issues, collected editions, or help choosing exactly what you’re looking for!

Of course The Mizzou Store has textbooks, but they also offer special book sales on the first Tuesday and Wednesday of every month during spring and fall semesters, a 30% discount on NY Times Bestselling Top 10 paperback fiction and non-fiction, and “2nd chance books,” which means they sometimes buy used general books for 30% of their retail value.
