Don’t forget about the buskers and the awesome opens in a new windowart installations One of the most fun features of True/False is the opens in a new windowlive music performances before each screening and in special showcases. If you can’t make a showcase, try to get at least one or two of your films early and soak in sounds from around the world. The art installations contribute to the eccentric overall atmosphere of the festival, and it’s always fun to snap a photo [or selfie, no one is judging you at this fest] of the unique displays. Also check out the opens in a new windowSynapses, including Field Sessions with special guests, a unique escape room called Elemental, Transmedia at Columbia Art League, and more.

Speak up at a screening One of the hallmarks of the festival is that each film is accompanied by someone who was involved in its creation. Have a question? Want clarification? Want to know what happened next? Raise your hand and ask the director who was involved in the film from start to screen.

Join the parade Take some time Friday afternoon to catch the  opens in a new windowMarch March. This ragtag parade is an event anyone can join.
