Restaurant: Impossible needs volunteers for renovation and the grand reopening of McLanks Family Restaurant
Restaurant: Impossible, a television show on the Food Network, will be in Columbia May 5 and 6 to renovate McLanks Family Restaurant. Restaurant: Impossible, hosted by Chef Robert Irvine, focuses on saving America’s most desperate restaurants from impending failure in just two days with only $10,000.
Enthusiastic individuals who would love to work with Robert Irvine and his talented renovation team as design and construction volunteers on the show are welcome and encouraged to volunteer their services.
Renovation Volunteer Information
Volunteers may be painting, crafting, constructing, remodeling, cleaning, decorating etc. (depending on your skill set). Skilled contractors, electricians, plumbers, upholsters’ and painters are invited to help and donate their time, but those of all skill sets and skill levels are encouraged to volunteer as well.
The volunteer schedule is as follows:
Shift #1 – Sunday, May 5th: 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Shift #2 – Sunday, May 5th: 7 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Shift #3 – Monday, May 6th: 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- This is a volunteer position, however, meals will be provided
- Individuals must be 18 years or older to volunteer
- All volunteers must sign an appearance release on site
- Please wear work clothing with no logos & sneakers/boots
- Volunteers are not limited to one shift

Anyone who replies to volunteer is guaranteed a spot. Confirmation emails will be sent the day before each shift.
Grand Reopening Volunteer Information
If interested in making a reservation for the grand reopening of McLanks Family Restaurant, please note you will be responsible for paying your own bill. This event is first come first serve by email, and there is no guarantee everyone who responds will get a table. If you are selected, you will receive a confirmation email close to the date of the dinner. All guests must be eight years or older to attend.

When submitting your reservation request, please include your full name, email address, phone number, party size and the names of the people in your party.
