October 29 – 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Join us for a Scrumdiddlyumptious, ‘Willy Wonka’ themed outdoor Halloween Drive Thru October 29 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. We’ll have pre-packaged goodies for the kids as well as kettle corn. Feel free to wear your costumes or come as you are. We’d love to see your faces (from 6ft away of course!)

Virtual Halloweenie
The District
October 30 – 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Halloweenie is happening virtually in 2020! Stay safe and join your favorite District businesses online, October 30 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., for a custom Halloweenie virtual event. The District will be live with DIY crafts, mask making, and a costume contest for the kids. Adults can enjoy “Adult Corner” where you can hear from your favorite restaurants, bartenders, retailers and more. A virtual link will be provided this week.

Treat goodie bags will be available at The District office, located at 11 South 10th Street, October 28 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. They will also be available October 29 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Goodie bags will include candy, DIY projects for kids, and special deals for adults  – all donated by downtown businesses. Treat bags are first come, first serve.

Drive-Boo Trick or Treating
Columbia Parks & Recreation – Cosmo Park – 1615 Business Loop 70 W
October 31 – 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Columbia Parks and Recreation, in cooperation with Cumulus Media, is planning a safe and low-contact trick-or-treating experience for kids. Come see us October 31 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Cosmo Park. 

Families will drive through the free event in Cosmo Park and collect treats through their car windows. 

Participants should enter Cosmo Park from the south end of the park, off Business Loop or Schwabe Lane near Rainbow Softball Complex. One-way traffic will be enforced as families drive through the event and collect treats. 

Participants should wear masks when interacting with event staff and volunteers and remain in their vehicles. All participants will be asked for their name and contact information for contact tracing purposes. All volunteers and staff will wear masks and gloves when interacting with participants. 

A car costume contest will also be held. Dress up your vehicle in its best spooky, silly, or fun costume. We’ll photograph the vehicles and post the pictures to 101.5 KPLA’s Facebook page! The public can vote on the submissions, and the winner will receive a Columbia Parks and Recreation gift certificate.

Bring Your Own Big Wheel – Ghosts and Goblins
Columbia Parks and Recreation – The ARC – 1701 W. Ash
October 31 – 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Kids, bring your fanciest Big Wheel or tricycle and cruise the ARC track! Prizes and awards will be given to all riders and mileage will be recorded. Big Wheels must be clean and approved by staff, bicycles are not allowed. don’t forget your costumes and cameras! 

COVID-19 guidelines: Registration is limited. Only one parent per child, parents/guardians must wear a mask.

Price: $5 per child, ages 2-6. October 31 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Put on your costume and visit Four Oaks Farm October 31 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. There is a $5 admission fee (2 & under free).  There will be outdoor trick-or-treating, food trucks, live music and hayrides! The Farm store and all of the farm activities will be open during this event. More details will be added this week.

Come to Bonkers October 30 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. for the best not-scary halloween party ever. $10 per person cost includes 2 slices of pizza and medium soft drink, a trip through the Bonkers Pumpkin Patch to choose your pumpkin, and a stop at the decorating station to personalize it. $5 play cards available for games. Bonkers guests will also enjoy free treat stations throughout the location.

October 31 – 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Take a stroll down Forum’s Treat Street anytime between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. on October 31st. This drive-thru event will be a fun way for your kids to dress up and trick-or-treat all in the comfort and safety of your own car.

As you enter our parking lot, you will receive a net to collect candy. You will be directed through our parking lot where there will be stations resembling different children’s story books. Our team of volunteers at each station will pass out candy and other activities, and invite your kids to play games all from within your car. It will be a lot of fun for every member of the family! You won’t want to miss it!

For the past 20 years, Christian Fellowship Church has hosted a Fall Festival for the Columbia community. In light of Covid-19 we have re-imagined this year’s festival into an outdoor event. Our heart is to create a fun and safe space for families this fall with trunk-or-treating, candy, and more. There will also be food available for purchase at a variety of food trucks. Wear a costume or come as you are. Help us maintain a family friendly environment for all ages by wearing non-scary costumes.

We will have tricked out rides for our annual tail waggin’ trunk-or-treat, an event that puts a spin on the Halloween tradition of trick-or-treating for the two-leggers that also includes the four-leggers! Our dogs are family too!

Trunks will be decorated and filled with homemade dog treats made with love by our volunteers. There will be a canine costume contest so get those costumes together! We will have candy for the kiddos so bring the whole family.

Prizes and give-aways for just a $5.00 donation to Unchained Melodies to help us care for our dogs. It’s going to be SPOOKTACULAR! 

*All CDC Guidelines will be followed. All volunteers will have masks on under their costumes. Social distancing and one way traffic will be implemented.

Our annual Trick or Treat party is still happening this year!

We’ve made some changes to keep everyone safe. Stop by anytime between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. to pick up your pets’ premade goodie bag, full of fun samples!

Costumes are not required, but are encouraged! We would love to see our pet friends this Halloween. This is an absolutely FREE event, though we will accept donations towards our Spotlight Groups – Central Missouri Humane Society and The Spay Neuter Project/No Kill Columbia.
