It’s homecoming Mizzou football fans! The Mizzou Tigers kick off Saturday, October 24 at 3:00 p.m. against the University of Kentucky Wildcats.

PRE-GAME INFORMATION

The 2020 football season looks different than anything we’ve seen in years past. Mizzou Athletics is diligently working with University leadership, the Southeastern Conference, NCAA, and with the advisement of public health officials on developing a plan for a safe return to intercollegiate athletics competition this fall. Transportation:

  • Park downtown (parking garages are free on Saturdays) and walk to the stadium
  • GoCOMO will provide FREE shuttles to the game.

  • Tailgating has been prohibited on the Mizzou campus during the 2020 season.
  • Still want to hang out with friends before the game? Check out a Columbia park for tailgating! Please remember to celebrate safely and maintain social distance.

Friday, October 23
Jack-o’-Lantern Jamboree at Daniel Boone Regional Library from 7 – 8 p.m.: Join us at the Columbia Public Library just after sunset for a drive-through display of carved pumpkins by local artists of all ages. From the safety and comfort of your vehicle, you can enjoy jack-o’-lanterns set up to illuminate the outer wall of the library’s south parking lot. Be prepared for additional spooky surprises including a visit from the notorious Sanderson sisters.

Saturday, October 24
Head out to The Club at Old Hawthorne for a Covid-19 safe Drive Thru Balloon Glow hosted by University Subaru. The event is free and runs 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Sunday, October 25 
Socket/Hallsville Balloon Glow 6:30 – 8:oo p.m. at the Hallsville Fairgrounds: Load up the family and join us for a spooktacular balloon glow. Enjoy the sight of balloons glowing as you drive through the event. There will be a free candy goody bag at the end of for the kids. $5 raffle tickets available to win a tablet – proceeds to Hallsville Police Foundation.

2020 Corn Maze at Shryocks Callway Farms

Shyrocks Farm Corn MazeShyrocks Callaway Farms, 2927 County Road 253. The 2020 Corn Maze is a tribute to the Kansas City Chiefs 2020 Super Bowl LIV victory.  Make plans now to come out to the farm and enjoy the life-size corn maze,  hayrides, roaring campfires and pumpkins. This corn maze will be open weekends beginning September 18th.

Midway Golf and Games Corn Maze – Midway Golf & Games, 5500 West Van Horn Tavern Road.  Midway Golf & Games has added a corn maze to their 2020 fall season. They have partnered with Special Olympics Missouri and will be donating a portion of the profits from the maze to support the programs for more than 16,900 athletes. The corn maze will feature a design highlighting Special Olympics. They will also be offering a pumpkin patch, mums, hayrides and fire pits. The corn maze will be open beginning September 18th.

Columbia Farmers Market – October 24 from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the MU Health Care Pavilion. Fresh vegetables and fruit, meat, farm-fresh eggs, cheeses, honey, cut flowers, plants, artisan items & more. As a producer-only market, everything sold here is offered by farmers and artisans who help sustain our region. SNAP (food stamps) are accepted at all markets. Live music, gardening workshops and children’s activities are featured at every market! Join us in rain or shine!
