Join SHSMO at 1:30 pm on Saturday, November 7, for the Fall Lecture featuring Amy Laurel Fluker, the Robert W. Reeder I Professor of nineteenth-century American history at Youngstown State University. Her talk will detail the efforts of Missouri’s women, both Union and Confederate, to commemorate the Civil War, with a particular focus on the Department of Missouri’s Woman’s Relief Corps and the Missouri Division of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. Fluker’s presentation is based on her new book, Commonwealth of Compromise: Civil War Commemoration in Missouri. Online and free, registration required.
