Pedaler’s Jamboree Postponed until 2021 – Memorial Day Weekend

Dear friends,

The PedJam team has very much missed being able to celebrate with you this year. With the spring COVID-19 scare, it was a simple but difficult decision to postpone the Pedaler’s Jamboree. Here we are months later, and there is still so much unknown about what to expect in the months ahead. Our goal was to re-evaluate the status of things in June and come up with a decision about how to proceed with the end of the summer. It has been a very difficult decision to make, but we have decided to postpone the Pedaler’s Jamboree until Memorial Day weekend 2021.  Although I often joke about safety first, in this case we feel it is in the best interest of our riders, communities, musicians and volunteers to avoid putting anyone at risk of spreading the COVID-19 virus. Social distancing on the Jamboree will be very difficult during the musical trailside stops and even more at our overnight camping destination at the Missouri State Penitentiary.  We understand that everyone will not agree with this decision, but as event directors we need to put our focus on the safety of every single person involved.

We have already been in touch with the musicians and communities about the update, and our goal is to bring the same lineup and game plan to the event next May. I am sure that you are looking forward to reuniting with your cycling friends as much as we are. We are keeping all registered riders for this year on next year’s list. If you are unable to make the next year’s Memorial Day date or would like to cancel your ticket, just let us know and we will be happy to get you a refund for your ticket. Keep in mind that tickets for next year’s ride will be in limited supply come next spring since many riders already have their advance tickets. If you are definitely game for joining us on Memorial Day weekend 2021 and do not already have a ticket, please consider ordering your tickets early. It’s been a challenging year for the Pedaler’s Jamboree (and other music festivals and bicycle tours worldwide) and we could use your support!

Ride on!
