Thanks to JJ Musgrove, Director of the Office of Cultural Affairs, for filling us in on the new dinner theatre experience in town!
Sherlock’s Mystery Dinner Theatre is an comedic, audience-interactive type of dinner theatre experience. Our first production was in Columbus, Georgia, in 2008, and since then we have produced 15 shows for over 10,000 people. “Dial ’S’ For Santa” is the first show we have produced in Columbia, Missouri, and we are very excited to be working with The Broadway Hotel in downtown Columbia. “Dial ’S’ For Santa” opens Friday, December 5th
, and performs every Friday and Saturday night until December 20th
. Reservations are required and are $49.95 plus tax and gratuity per person and can be purchased by calling or purchase tickets online at www.SherlocksDinnerTheatre.com
The show format consists of 4 acts of comedy mystery theatre that take place in between a 3-course meal. Patrons who have made reservations (required) arrive at The Broadway and take the elevator down to the event level and check in at the registration table to find out where they are sitting. The seating arrangement will be round tables of 8, and if parties booked as a group they will be seated together. Shortly before 7:00 p.m., actors will circulate around the room handing our small audience participation parts to anyone who is interested. Patrons do not have to take a part but it does make the experience even fuller. After audience parts are distributed, Act One begins. The acts are approximately 15-minutes long, and when they are completed the main doors to the room will be opened and servers will bring in the food. Audience members may visit the cash bar or the restrooms in between the acts. The evening will end at approximately 9:30.
Although Sherlock’s has not operated in Columbia before, its track record of high quality performances and entertaining experiences has earned it the #1 activity and the #3 attraction on TripAdvisor at its original location in Columbus, Georgia. Audiences love attending Sherlock’s and we couldn’t be more excited to be locating to Columbia.
