Southern Boone Marching Classic

The 4th Annual Southern Boone Marching Classic will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2019. There will be 27 different bands from around Missouri performing throughout the day. These 1A-4A schools will bring over 1100 Marching Band and Color Guard students to Ashland. The Parade begins at 8:30am, with 20 bands marching from Henry Clay to Broadway to Main Street. Parade goers will enjoy musical performances such as The Greatest Showman, Sweet Caroline, and Hooked on a Feeling. Awards for the Parade will be announced immediately following the parade at the High School gymnasium. Immediately following the parade (11:00am), the performances move to the High School gymnasium for the Indoor Color Guard and Indoor Drum Line performances. There will be 9 Color Guard performances featuring music such as Hooked on the 70s, Life is a Circus,and Dream On. Indoor Drum Line will feature 7 schools performing music such as Any Way You Want It, Funky Monkey and Chunky, and Boogeyman Beats. The Field Show Competition begins at 1:30pm, with 19 schools set to perform their half-time shows: South Shelby—Styx and Stones Tipton—Music from the Greatest Showman South Callaway—007 Harrisburg—Eye of the Storm California—The Greatest Showman Blair Oaks—Kaleidoscope Orchard Farm—Free Spirits North Callaway—Prisoner 24601 Mount Vernon—Grimm Tales School of the Osage—Tribes Eldon—Hooked on the 70s Centralia—The Greatest Show Owensville—The Hidden Cathedral Capital City—Heart Center—Dreaming of the 70s Mexico—A Night at the Movies with John Williams Fulton—The Greatest Showman Southern Boone—Fire and Ice Jefferson City—Exhibition Admission to the events is $5 for adults, $3 for school age children, and over 65 are free. Concessions will be served all day long.
